PLUS MUSIC has been established primarily to provide an outlet for the publishing of the extensive portfolio of work created by Des Chisholm who is the owner/manager of Plus Music. Des is an accomplished musician and songwriter with considerable experience and under the pseudonym Jimmy Silver, has worked as a professional singer, songwriter and saxophonist with a variety of different acts.

Some of his early professional engagements included supporting Jimi Hendrix, Jose Feliciano (TV) and Al Green, as well as touring with Aretha's sister Erma Franklin who did the original "Piece of my Heart". One band he formed included Dave Rowberry (Stevie Wonder, The Animals) on keyboards and Ron Telemacque (Funkmasters, Equals, David Cross - ex King Crimson, Jimmy Ruffin) on drums.

Des also gigged or recorded with Eddy Grant, The Pioneers, Matt Aitkin (Stock Aitkin & Waterman), Richie Tattersal (Lulu), Rod Gammons - producer (Beverly Knight, Liberty X, Ultravox), Shirley & Dee Lewis (Bros, George Michael), Bobby Harrison (SNAFU), Patrick Allan (The Drifters), Phil Harding - producer (Pete Waterman Ltd) & Angie Brown. Additionally, he also worked with Roy “Sugar” Smith, Gordon Hunte (Sade, Gonzalez, Bob Marley) and even engineered for Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac).

A Channel 4 TV program on poet Langston Hughes called "Blues for Langston" also featured him playing the theme music on tenor sax backed by Courtney Pine's Jazz Warriors which included Tony Rémy & Mark Mondesir.
